We offer a variety of different options for Checking, Savings, CDs, and other account services. The following information provides overview details for the different types of available checking account for Midwest National Bank's checking account product lines.

Four-For-Free

Meet the following four (4) requirements each statement cycle to qualify:

direct deposit, estatement delivery, bill pay transactions, and a minimum of six debit card transactions.

Enroll in Digital Internet Banking to manage and monitor your checking account.  Once enrolled in Digital Internet Banking, unlock the power of the mobile app on your smartphone to place powerful control at your fingertips! 

You can lock and unlock your Debit/ATM card through the mobile app.  Use of the mobile app requires enrollment in Digital Internet Banking and login to your account using your credentials.

Chose to Opt-In the Overdraft Protection Program, applicant enrollment is subject to bank approval.  Overdraft Protection Program enrollment supports payment of items in the event the full amount of funds are unavailable to process to prevent items from being returned.  Standard overdraft & or NSF (Non-sufficient Funds) fee of $30 is assessed with enrollment in the Overdraft Protection Program for each item paid. 

$100 Minimum Opening Deposit Required, additional fees assessed if account balance drops below the minimum $100 threshold.



Student Checking

Student checking accounts are for customers between the ages of 12-21. 

requires only $25 to open, zero monthly account maintenance fees, optional enrollment in digital internet banking, optional enrollment in estatements.

Enrollment in eStatements will activate the delivery of your monthly student checking account statements to a valid email address.  All student account holds would need a valid personal email account for enrollment.  Be sure to follow applicable rules associated with the creation of free email accounts by minors if signing up for a new email account online through vendors.

Enroll in Digital Internet Banking to monitor your account transactions, take advantage of digital deposit options, and quickly stop your Debit/ATM card in the event of loss or theft using the mobile app.  Use of the mobile app requires enrollment in Digital Internet Banking and login to your account using your credentials. 

Free Debit/ATM card.  Parent or guardian required if student applicant is under 18 years of age.

Platinum Tiered Checking

The Platinum Tiered checking account is for customers who desire to earn interest while keeping their funds available within a checking account vs other form of traditional interest-bearing accounts such as CDs or Money Market accounts.

requires $1,000 to open, earn interest based on daily balance and daily interest rate, first box of checks is free, higher balances equal higher interest rates.

Customers seeking to open a Platinum Tiered checking account will automatically receive a Debit/ATM card, enrollment in eStatements will activate the delivery of your monthly checking account statements to a valid email address. 

Customers will also be automatically enrolled in Digital Internet Banking is supported by using a web browser on your computer system to login to the online banking portal.  Enroll in Digital Internet Banking to monitor your account transactions, take advantage of digital deposit options, and quickly stop your Debit/ATM card in the event of loss or theft using the mobile app. 

A tiered interest account is based upon minimum balance maintained in association with interest rate applicable.

Example: A $5,000+ daily balance which never drops below this threshold will earn a higher daily interest rate than the same type of account which has a daily balance between $1,000-$2,000.  Interest Rates along with daily account balance minimums are subject to change.  Be sure to call for up to date information regarding this special type of checking account.



Silver Advantage 60+

The Silver Advantage checking account is for customers who are 60 years or older.

Requires only $50 to open, free statements, first box of check free, free debit/ATM card.

Enrollment in eStatements will activate the delivery of your monthly checking account statements to a valid email address. 

Digital Internet Banking is supported by using a web browser on your computer system to login to the online banking portal.  Enroll in Digital Internet Banking to monitor your account transactions, take advantage of digital deposit options, and quickly stop your Debit/ATM card in the event of loss or theft using the mobile app. 

Use of the mobile app requires enrollment in Digital Internet Banking and login to your account using your credentials. 

Bill pay supports the configuration of automatic recurring payments to free up your time!

Midwest National Bank Mobile App is supported on both Apple-based and Android-based smartphones. 

The app is user friendly and was specifically designed to limit learning curves associated with traditional software.

Consumer Money Market

The Consumer Money Market account is an excellent choice for account holders who desire to primarily earn interest with their money. A money market account should not be compared to a traditional checking account which might be capable of earning interest due to the minimum daily balance requirement of $2501 in order to earn interest.

The Consumer Money Market account is a perfect fit for customers who are planning for short-term savings and liquidity. 

Ideal for customers with short-term financial goals, rainy day financial planning, and investments for specific larger item purchases like automobiles, boats, recreational vehicles, and many other forms of purchases.

A Consumer Money Market account which falls under $1,000 daily balance is subject to a $10 monthly service fee for all statement periods in which the account balance was under $1,000.  Interest is automatically credited to this account on a quarterly basis, interest begins to accrue on the business day you deposit non-cash items such as a check for example.  The interest rate can be changed at the bank’s discretion on a daily basis to reflect fluctuations with associated interest rates.
